Battle with Livyatan pt 2

The celebrating was to be short lived.  While everyone cheered Tanahie continued to scan the water.  Something wasn't right, the whale had gone down without much effort.  With such a large creature it couldn't have been that easy.  Her eyes narrowed as the settled upon a distant blue light, it was far off in the distance, to far for human eyes to detect, but it was coming closer.

Tasura noticed her mother's eyes watching the distance.  She turned to see if she could catch what she was watching.  Nothing, the horizon was clear, "what is it mother?"

"I don't know yet."



Native looked around, "now they've gone and left us."  She sighed heavily, "we can argue some other time, for now I guess we should try to find this battle."

Fang nodded and pushed Lolani forward.  They swam a short time before finding the group whooping and causing a huge ruckus.  Lolani and Mana swam over to Maka and Keani and exchanged a quick greeting.  Fang and Native looked at Tanahie and felt their fur stand on end, they knew her well enough to see that something wasn't right.

Then the light became visible for those with normal vision.  It glowed on the horizon and captured everyone's attention.  The group fell silent.  No on dared move or make a sound.  It stayed on the horizon for a while, just taunting the group with its ethereal appearance.  The silence lasted for a while, no one moving or making a sound, just staring, until suddenly the light went out.

When the light when out a terrible sound erupted from the depths below and the water began to churn.  The overwhelming shadow of the beast rose from the deaths until it broke the surface.  Livyatan was back and clearly more angry than before.

Everyone reacted instantly, moving back and forming groups that would charge Livyatan.  Tanahie shook her head, "did they not learn the first time?"

Native and Fang looked at her confused and Tasura nodded, "this is the exact same tactic, the only thing that worked before was our idea, but it didn't work for long.  So what now?"

Tanahie let out a low growl and turned to her small group.  "We need to get their attention."

Native nodded, "time for a pep talk!"

The group all let out a howl that stopped everyone in their tracks, all eyes were now on them.  "Everyone over here, we need a strategy!"

The group cautiously gathered around them unsure of who they were and what was going on.  "We're here to help, no need to fear us."

"But someone needs to take charge and that someone will be me!"  Tanahie stared each person in the face dating anyone to challenge her.  "Good we all appear to now be on the same page.  Firstly your attack plan is all wrong.  No more of this random charging and pounding, all you're doing is wearing yourselves out and making Livyatan angry.  We need to find the weak points, that's how we'll take it down.  I will lead my team to the underside of Livyatan and attack there, the rest of you should split into small teams and find more weak points to attack.  Think like any other prey for asotu," she patted Maka's head, "these guys should be plenty of help, they know more than they're given credit for."

"Oh and one last thing, a large team should stay in front of the head to keep Livyatan busy."

The groups split up and Tanahie's team headed straight under the water and towards the belly of the beast.
